I remember first hearing about Orkut in… probably 2009. When I was one of the two or three people who were Officially Fed Up with Facebook, and I was looking to find a different platform through which I could post silly status updates. That was also probably the last time I had heard of the popular-in-India-and-Brazil (which IS a lot of people) social network.
Well, it’s going away now. Or at least, that’s what is being reported.
